At the heart of Briland Club is family. A vision developed and constructed by Michael Wiener and family, founded upon the spirit of what they value most.
For almost two decades, the Wiener family has pursued a shared love for The Bahamas, navigating the Caribbean to explore its many islands. But it was their first visit to Harbour Island in 2007 when the family felt an undeniable connection. It became their “happy place”, and quickly the Wieners were regular faces in the local community. The island felt like home, the culture and environment was a place of shared passion.

In 2017, Michael saw an opportunity to embrace Harbour Island in a way true to heart. As second-generation owner of a three-generation real estate development company and Principal of 4M, Michael’s professional pursuits have long been rooted in family with a mission to build from integrity for people, place, and passion.
Upon discovering a parcel of land and marina for sale on Harbour Island, Michael found a way to merge his personal and professional pursuits by giving back to the island that had given him so much.
And to do so with his family.

The Royal Portfolio is a collection of iconic luxury hotels, villas, safari lodges and private residences in South Africa owned and run by Phil and Liz Biden and family. The Royal Portfolio includes Royal Malewane, a collection of six high-end safari lodges and villas in the Greater Kruger National Park, Birkenhead House in the coastal town of Hermanus, La Residence in the Franschhoek wine country, The Silo Hotel in Cape Town and a collection of Private Residences.
